Connecting to an external audio device

You can use another audio device, such as a portable digital music player, with your system.

1/8-inch audio output

If the audio source has a 1/8-inch audio output, follow these steps to connect the device:

Using a 1/8-inch male to a dual male RCA interconnect cable, insert the 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) plug into the output of your audio device. It may be labeled "Line OUT," "AUDIO OUT" or "Headphone OUT"

On the other end of the audio cable, insert the two plugs into the AUX IN jacks on the back of the Acoustic Wave® music system II. These jacks are white and red

Turn on the connected device, and then turn on your Acoustic Wave® music system II

On your Bose® remote, press AUX, then use the Volume buttons to control the sound level

RCA audio output

If the audio source has a stereo (left and right) RCA audio output, follow these steps to connect the device:

Using a dual male to dual male RCA-stereo cable, insert the left and right plugs into the audio output jacks of the audio device. These are most commonly white and red, and may be labeled "Line OUT" or "AUDIO OUT"

On the other end of the audio cable, insert the two plugs into the AUX IN jacks on the back of the Acoustic Wave® music system II. These jacks are white and red

Turn on the connected device, and then turn on your Acoustic Wave® music system II

On your Bose remote, press AUX, then use the Volume buttons to control the sound level
