Setting the video resolution

This feature will allow you to use the video scaler in the VS-2 video enhancer or simply pass an incoming signal to the TV without upscaling it. This feature can only be used if the VS-2 video enhancer is connected to the TV with an HDMI® cable.

Setting the video resolution is a two-step process:

  • Set "Video Resolution" to "Adjustable" in the System menu
  • Change Video Resolution in the Settings menu

To set Video Resolution to "Adjustable" in the System menu, follow these steps:

Be sure the TV is on with the correct input selected

On the remote, press SYSTEM. Press the RIGHT ARROW to highlight the "VIDEO" icon

Press the DOWN ARROW until "VIDEO RESOLUTION" is highlighted

Press the RIGHT ARROW to highlight the current option

Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to select the appropriate setting:

Fixed: Prohibits any change to video resolution. When selected, the Video Resolution feature is not available in the Settings menu. The system will select the highest possible resolution setting reported by the TV via HDMI
