Speaker placement and positioning
Speaker placement can affect how your system sounds in the listening area. Get tips on positioning your speakers for the best sound quality.
Placement Suggestions:
- For good stereo separation, place the speakers along one wall of the room, spaced 4 to 12 feet apart. Place the powered speaker on the left and the accessory speaker on the right
- Place the left (powered) speaker within reach of an electric outlet
- Aim the V-shaped rear panel of each speaker toward the wall behind it. Do not aim the V at a corner. Ideally, place the tip of the “V” 16 inches from the back wall. Do not place the speaker closer than 8 inches to the wall
- Place the speakers 2 to 4 feet from the side walls
- The speakers are not magnetically shielded, and must be 18 to 24 inches from a TV monitor
Note: Only CRT style TVs are affected. This includes Tube style TVs and Rear Projections with CRTs
