Using Amazon Alexa

With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear the news, check weather, control smart home devices, and more. Alexa lives in the cloud and is always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to your product automatically. Using Alexa on your product is simple and we'll show you how.

An Alexa-enabled device with a microphone is needed to use the Amazon Alexa voice assistant with your amplifier.

If you have a separate device with Alexa Built-In connected to your network, you can control the amplifier from that device with voice commands. To set up voice control, enable the Bose (not for SoundTouch) skill and link your Alexa account to your Bose account. Then just ask Alexa to play music. Start with “Alexa,” then say your request on [amplifier name]. Example: “Alexa, play My Workout playlist on Family Room.”
  • Make sure you say the amplifier name you assigned in the Bose Music app. If multiple amplifiers have the same name, use the name assigned in the Alexa app or change the name in the Bose Music app.
  • Alexa is not available in all languages and countries.
