Setting Google Assistant as the preferred native VPA for Samsung devices

These instructions are for Samsung devices only.

Follow these instructions for your Samsung device:

  1. Navigate to: Settings > Apps > Bixby Voice > Set as Default.
  2. Under the "Open by default" menu, tap "Clear"  in the "Clear defaults" field.
  3. With your Bose product connected to your Samsung device, press and hold the earbud that has been configured as the Shortcut. The Samsung device will prompt you to select which phone assistant you prefer to use. Select Google.
